Ganderbal, Feb 27, 2018:- The group of 25 orchardists was flagged off by Chief Horticulture Officer Ganderbal along with other officers of the Department here on today.

As a part of activity under MIDH – Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (Human Resource Development), the Department of Horticulture, District Ganderbal sends a group of 25 progressive orchardists of the District on 05 days training programme to Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni Solan Himachal Pradesh.

During the five-day tour, under the scheme MIDH 2017-18, the group of the orchardists from various horticulture zones of the district, would be imparted training to acquaint them with new techniques of horticulture production.

The aim of the programme is to increase awareness regarding Super High Density Plantation and various other latest Horticulture related activities/techniques and all-round development of the orchardists community.
