Ganderbal:On the occasion of the 87th Raising Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the 118 Battalion CRPF organized a blood donation camp at its headquarters in Gund, Ganderbal on March 9, 2026, in collaboration with Lal Ded Hospital.
The camp was held from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and personnel of the battalion. A total of 50 officers and jawans voluntarily donated blood, reflecting their commitment to social responsibility and support for the healthcare system.
The medical team from Lal Ded Hospital, led by Dr. Seema, facilitated the camp and ensured the smooth conduct of the blood donation process by providing necessary medical support and arrangements.
The initiative aimed to contribute to the availability of blood for local patients in need and to promote the spirit of humanitarian service in the region.
Senior officers expressed their gratitude to the medical team of Lal Ded Hospital for their cooperation in making the event successful. The program concluded with a message from Shri Lokesh Mehta, Second-in-Command (presently holding the charge of Commandant, 118 Battalion), who encouraged more people to come forward and donate blood as a noble act to help save lives.
