Srinagar 27 Nov (KNZ):Jammu & Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against Malik Tahir Gani, Director, State Motor Garages, following allegations of accumulating massive wealth beyond known sources of income.
According to officials, a specific input prompted the ACB to conduct a Secret Verification into Gani’s assets. The verification revealed that while serving in various positions—including ARTO Anantnag, ARTO Pulwama and later as Director State Motor Garages—Gani had allegedly amassed huge properties in the form of plots, residential houses, shops, shopping complexes, bank deposits, and other assets in his own name as well as in the names of family members and relatives.
The assets were found to be highly disproportionate to his known income.
Following the verification, the ACB established prima facie evidence of criminal misconduct under Sections 13(1)(b) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and registered FIR No. 11/2025 at ACB Police Station Central.
During the ongoing investigation, search warrants were obtained from the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Jammu. Subsequently, ACB teams carried out simultaneous raids at four locations, including:

Officials said incriminating material was recovered and seized during the searches, which will be examined further.
The ACB added that further investigation is in progress.KNZ
