Ganderbal 10 November(KNZ) :In one of the biggest counter-terror operations in recent times, Ganderbal Police launched a massive crackdown against the remnants of terror networks, dismantling the support system that fuels subversive activities in the region.

Acting on credible intelligence inputs, the police conducted simultaneous raids across multiple locations in the district, targeting the houses of J&K Nationals operating from Pakistan and Pak-Occupied Kashmir (JKNOPs) as well as surrendered and ex-militants.

During the operation, 39 individuals were detained under preventive measures and lodged at Dignibal Jail after their alleged involvement in activities prejudicial to public peace and security came to light.

Police sources said that a number of digital devices and incriminating materials were recovered from several locations, which have been sent for forensic examination.

Senior police officers personally supervised the operation, which is being hailed as a decisive step to crush the terror ecosystem and prevent youth from falling prey to anti-national propaganda.

A police spokesperson said that Ganderbal Police remains committed to ensuring peace, stability, and a terror-free environment in the district, urging the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to root out the menace completely.
