Srinagar, Aug 02 : The mainstream political parties on Wednesday asked the Governor N N Vohra led administration to take stringent action against the officers and officials executing developmental works at the intervention of PDP MLAs in Kashmir and BJP MLAs in Jammu division.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief, G A Mir said that the party welcomes the recent order issued by the Governor N N Vohra, asking the local MLAs not to intervene in developmental works and stay away from the inaugural functions of any developmental works. “But at the same time, the PDP MLAs in Kashmir and BJP MLAs in Jammu are officially or unofficially intervening in the developmental works and day to day work of the administration,” he said.
The state congress chief further stated that all this is happening because the Governor is yet to take any next constitutional step following the end of PDP-BJP bonhomie in Jammu and Kashmir.

“It is unfortunate that the developmental works are being executed at the intervention of the MLAs,” he said, appealing the Governor that sufficient time was given following the end of erstwhile coalition government, urging him to take appropriate constitutional steps at an earliest.

He said that the assembly can’t be placed in the suspended animation for a long and the next constitutional step must be taken.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), National Conference (NC) General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Ali Muhammad Sagar said that the party has received several complaints about the officers and officials executing developmental works at the intervention of MLAs from PDP and BJP who were sharing power in the state till June 18 this year.

He said that the administration take stringent action against the officers and officials who are executing the works at the intervention of PDP and BJP MLAs.
Sagar further said that the party from the day one is demanding dissolution of the assembly so that the elections would be held and next dispensation would take over.
