Women empowerment function Vijaya Rahatkar National President BJP Mahila Morcha on her maiden visit to Kashmir ‘Addresses women workers convention in Srinagar’

SRINAGAR:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Mahila Morcha Vijaya Rahatkar addressed women workers convention on her maiden visit to Kashmir, on Tuesday.
Rahatka was thrilled to see a huge gathering of women present in the convention. “I am happy to see women in Kashmir participating in political activities. This will be definitely helpful to them, as BJP government has provided them the space to lead their society,” she said, adding, their (women) participation would rescue the Kashmir valley from the clutches of uncertainty and agony.
“BJP government has framed many women friendly schemes for their better future prospects,” she said, while addressing the workers.

She said BJP is committed to the development of Kashmir, which is visible on ground with Kashmir valley leading towards peace and prosperity.
She asked workers to take advantage of centrally sponsored schemes and campaign door to door to ensure all are benefitted from these schemes. “Beti Bachav, Beti Padav, Sconia Smrudi Yojna, Ujwala, skill development, Mudra scheme, are the schemes meant for the welfare of women,” she said.
Rahatkar also asked the workers to follow the ideology of Syama Prasad Mukherjee who believed in “one constitution, one head and one flag”.
Sat Sharma, BJP state president, while speaking on the occasion said Kashmiri women should play a role in the overall development of country. “Even PM Narendra Modi announced many women friendly scheme after coming in power,” Sharma said. He said, a
“Ask a common woman in far flung area about Modi Ji, she will reply yes, she knows Modi. Because she had received a gas connection under Ujjwala scheme where his (Modi’s) photography was depicted,” he said, adding, Modi’s welfare schemes have added to his popularity.

Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Dr Nirmal Singh said women have suffered a lot in last three decades in Kashmir due to militancy. “BJP government is working hard to provide relief to their miseries by devising dozens of welfare schemes, which gave them a sigh of relief during BJP rule in Kashmir,” he said.
Priya Sethi, MoS Education, Horticulture and senior party leader also addressed the gathering. She appreciated the women workers of Kashmir for their role in strengthening party and propagating its ideology in Kashmir. “You are doing in the party. Now, launch door to door campaign to spread the awareness of BJP’s welfare measures,” she told the gathering.

Poornima state President BJP Mahila Morcha also appreciated the women party workers in Kashmir. “Despite hardships, you people are doing a tremendous job for the party,” she said.
