SAMBA, OCTOBER 15[KNZ]:  Minister for industries and commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today reiterated that upgrading and expansion of surface connectivity was on top of government’s development agenda as road connectivity is a key to overall development.

Interacting with the people after launching blacktopping and other works at three places here, he said government has formulated a comprehensive plan for upgrading all roads as there is no alternate for development of an area.

He called upon locals to be part of development process by keeping close eye on quality of work and material uses. “We will not waste a single moment to take action if any complaint of poor quality work  is received from the public” he assured the locals. He said development targets can be achieved only through proactive, transparent and good governance with the due cooperation of people.

The Minister launched blacktopping work on 1.50 KM stretch from Kamala to Radha Swami Ashram to be completed at Rs 40 Lakh under City and Town development program, on Length 400 Mtr Rara village Link road involving a cost of Rs 5 Lakh and construction of 300 M Deep Drain at Village Barota Camp at a cost of Rs 6 lakh.

The Minister was accompanied by ACD Samba Sushil Kumar Atri, Xen PDD Ashok Gupta, Tehsildar Ramgarh Raman Chalotra, BDO Ramgarh Mukesh Kumar, AEE PHE PWD and PDD and SDPO Vijaypur.
