Srinagar, Oct 16[KNZ]: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah on Monday strongly condemned the arrest of two alleged militants in Kulgam by police, saying they have no ties with the outfit or “any related faction”.

A spokesperson of the outfit Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement quoted LeT chief as saying that “one of the arrested youth is Khurshid Ahmed Dar who is suffering from cancer”. “Rendering him a terrorist is an act of injustice and a drama staged for winning cheap popularity,” he said.

Shah said the IGP Kashmir Munir Khan “must be ashamed of such disgraceful acts and it exposes the sick agendas of Jammu Kashmir Police”. “How come police forces come to know that youth were to snatch weapons from police? This is nothing but an irresponsible act.”

“The worldly ethics of justice to the crime demands the punishment to be sought after the admission of the crime but Jammu Kashmir’s Police are beyond such ethics,” he said.

“We warn the police to abstain from such irresponsible, disgraceful and sick acts,” the spokesperson quoted Lashkar chief as having said. (GNS)
