Srinagar, Dec 19 : Authorities today suspended train service for “security reasons” in south Kashmir, where two militants and a young woman were killed in a fierce gunfight and clashes with government forces in Shopian district, officials said.

However, train service from Srinagar-Badgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north will not be affected, the sources said.

They said all trains from Budgam-Srinagar to Anantnag, Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region have been suspended for “security reasons”.
