Anantnag, July 23 : Train service resumed in south Kashmir on Monday after remaining suspended for a day as a precautionary measure following death of militants in an encounter by security forces in Khudwani Kulgam.
However, train service in north Kashmir between Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla was not affected on Sunday, a senior railway official said.
He said a fresh advisory was received from police last night to resume train service in south Kashmir on Monday.
Therefore, he said, trains will chug on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
