Budgam, April 19: Hundrads of passengers got stranted after train coming from Baramullah towards banihal was cancelled near budgam staton.

Police official posted at Budgam Station told a reason for cancellation as “stone was pelted on way on the front mirror of the engine causing injury to the driver.”

Passengers showing thier anger requested the railway authoritites to kindly assign another driver for the train so that they wont have to suffer.

One of the passengers Dr. Mohd Ashraf said “while travelling from Baramullah after reaching budgam staton at 4.40pm suddenly announcement was made that train has been cancelled and wont be allowed to move further.”

He further added that after enquiring we came to know that somewhere on the way a stone was pelted on the front mirror of the engine causing injury to the train driver.

He protested that train survives in kashmir have totally failed.

Train services often get cancelled causing inconveniences to passengers especially who have to travel districts far.

Railway security official posted at Budgam station who didn’t wished to be named said “Driver has recieved injury on his face” he further added that God forbid if the driver had recieved major injury he could have lost controll on the train and it might have caused any bad eventuality.

Finally to relief the passengers railway authorities seated passengers in a train coming from Baramullah towards banihal scheduled to reach Budgam staton at 5.25pm.
