SRINAGAR 21 October[KNZ]: Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) youth leader and social Activist Syed Aijaz Kashani today paid rich tributes to the victims of Bijbehara massacre on their anniversary, in a statement issued today he said that the Bijbehara massacre which happened on October 22, 1993 in which 43 innocent civilians were killed when the BSF, showered bullets on the innocent peaceful protestors who were protesting against the Hazratbal siege. Syed Aijaz Kashani said people of Kashmir has rendered countless sacrifices for the last so many decades for seeking our birth right, Right to self-determination which is the birth right of people of Jammu and Kashmir, which was once itself a sovereign state. Adding that, “he said unfortunately Govt. of India has shielded the culprits of Bijbehara massacre rather than punishing them”. Syed Aijaz Kashani said Bijbehara massacre was a glaring example of how the Indian State has operated ruthlessly in Kashmir for the past 30 years. Syed Aijaz Kashani said Youth of Kashmir should remember and not to forget the sacrifices given by the people for the long pending Kashmir dispute. He said nations and dignified and thoughtful people always remember their “martyrs” and their sacrifices and safeguard them till times immemorial.
