Srinagar:Two policemen and a civilian were injured on Thursday evening after suspected militants lobbed a grenade on a police station in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said.

Taking to the social networking site, police wrote “A grenade incident is reported from Kulgam…. 2 police officials and a civilian injured. Info is preliminary in nature.”

The injured were identified as special police officer Sajad Ahmad belt No. 589/SPO, Azad Ahmad belt No. 438/SPO and one civilian namely Mohammad Akbar Ganie son of Ghulam Mohammad.

One critically injured policeman was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment, Police officials said.

However, in this regard, Police have registered a case investigation has been taken up.
