Srinagar 14 Oct : The students from south Kashmir’s Anantnag district preparing for various examinations on Sunday urged the authorities to restore high-speed Internet as their studies were being affected by the continuous blockade.

Scores of students preparing for various examinations emailed to Greater Kashmir and expressed their dismay over the suspension of the high-speed Internet in the district.

“We the students of Anantnag want to bring it in your notice that 3g/4g has been barred in Anantnag from last six days. Only low-speed 2G Internet is working in our district, which is not sufficient to download a video related to education or learning purpose. Now we request authorities to restore the high-speed Internet so that we could focus on our studies for upcoming exams,” read a email.

The high-speed Internet has been blocked in wake of ongoing civic polls to ‘stop spreading of rumours.’(GK)
