Ganderbal 20 Feb (KNZ):A group of Govt Degree College students from various area of Ganderbal district here returned from 10 days long tour that was organized by 24RR army based at Wussan Kangan

An official said the tour was flagged off on February 11 from Srinagar under a Sadhbhavana initiative with an aim to provide an opportunity to students to gain insight into renowned educational institutes across the country.

The interactive sessions and activities planned at these educational institutes exposed the students to learning techniques, creative activities and helped them form lifelong bonds with one and all,”

He said the tour also visited on educational cum curricular and excursion trip to different parts of the country like Manali Sanctuary,Namgal Monastery, Himalayan Nature park, Himalayan Bird park,Tattapani Hot springs at shimla and other places to facilitate these children to educate themselves on country’s heritage and history and national diversities,”he said.

The tour aims to expose the young impressionable minds to the world outside the Valley, providing opportunities for interaction with the people to increase awareness and understanding and thereby enabling them to identify more closely with their fellow countrymen.

The well executed CBT came to its grand finale in the presence of senior civil, Mil offrs incl SDM,Kangan, SDPO Kangan who officially flagged in the tour at Wusan on 20 Feb 20.The participants displayed great zeal and enthusiasm at the conclusion of the tour and thanked the Army for giving this opportunity to them.

An exposure of this kind comprising of aspects of higher education and industrial development in the country to the young minds of Kashmir valley would go a long way in establishing a connect with rest of the country.KNZ
