“Young achievers honoured”

Youth can bring in a sea-change, help dawn peace in Kashmir: Priya Sethi

SRINAGAR, Aug 23: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has very high hopes from youth of Kashmir and it is towards this end that he from the ramparts of Red Fort mentioned Kashmir and favoured a ‘hugs’ over ‘bullets’ to restore peace in entire sub-continent on August 15”.

 

This was stated by Minister of State for education and tourism Priya Sethi at a function held here to honour young achievers who excelled in different fields of their professions. She said, youth are the real contributors and can bring in a sea-change to help dawn peace in entire Sub-continent including Kashmir known as ‘Paradise on Earth’.

She said that she is overwhelmed to see such young achievers who are continuing in society in one or the other way and putting their efforts to bring in peace which is the only way out of any impasse.

Congratulating South Asia Peace Movement for recognising held young achievers and peace seekers of the Valley, Priya Sethi asserted that their contribution in sports, education, music, film making, social activities or entrepreneurship will go a long way in not only adding to state’s economy but also generating employment besides making J&K State blink on international forum.

Priya Sethi said,” the entire nation belongs to you and we all have to take the country ahead with the determination of creating a ‘New India’ as dreamed by even our Prime Minister. The demonstration of collective strength, in the coming 5 years will our country including Jammu and Kashmir forward to meet any challenge. However, youth will have to play a major role in this endeavour”.

J&K State, she said was lacking good governance but now the coalition government has set a transparent and accounta blue process rolling which is all about about speed and simplification of processes of deliverance.

Extending her best wishes to young achievers for having made it to the list, Priya Sethi added,”We have to work for the progress of Jammu and Kashmir” and these achievements should serve as stepping stones to reach target. She also congratulated parents of young achievers for enabling them to chose their paths that are opening up new vistas for young brigade of this peace loving region.

Programmes like start up and make in India have enabled many youngsters to become job creators than being job seeker. She also asked youngsters to avail government scheme especially those aimed at helping women and become self reliant.

The minister asked South Asia Peace Movement prisident me Tariq Bhat to continue with their programmes that include women’s empowerment in rural/urban areas, Education for all and skill development, Medical facilities, anti-drug campaigns, Environmental safetySports/athletics and Cultural activities o involve youth in constructive activities. Among others present included Sanjay Saraf, Showkat chowdhary, Mohd Yousuf, Nisheet Shrivastav, Farooq Ahmed Rather.Veer Saraf and Chain singh and ADDC,Principal IHM, Jt.Comm.Municipality Syed Abdul , GM BSNL. Salim Beigh. Chairman Hattrick group Showkat Choudhary were also present.
