Pulwama:Body of slain Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) commander Noor Mohammad Tantray @Noora reached his native village in southern Kashmir’s Tral town in Pulwama district on Tuesday morning.

Noor Muhammad died in an over-night gunfight with government forces in Samboora area of the district.

Noor Muhammad, the JeM commander, was a resident of Ganaie Gund Tral.

Local sources said that hundreds of people marched towards Ganaie Gund village to participate in the funeral prayers of Noor Muhammad.

They added that the local authorities also snapped internet services in the area.

Police have said that the JeM commander led a group of militants to carry out attack on Indian army convoy “but were targetted before that could happen”.

Noor Muhammad was short in height and had given “sleepless nights” to security establishmenst for reviving JeM ranks in Kashmir valley.
