Shutdown in Anantnag parts against militant, civilian killings
A complete shutdown is being observed in parts of Anantnag district of south Kashmir today against the militant and civilian killings.
Three militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed after police and army ambushed their car in Watergam area near Bulbul Nowgam on Mondaynight while an elderly man injured in army firing earlier in the day in Arwani area succumbed on Tuesday evening.
60-year-old Mohammad Abdullah Ganaie was a resident of Hussanpora village of Arwani.
A complete shutdown is being observed in Arwani, Bijbehara and Kokernag areas of the district.
Life has returned to normal in the main Anantnag town after yesterday’s shutdown to mourn militant killings.
