Kangan:- A shepherd was seriously injured in bear attack in the forest area of Hayan Kangan in Central kashmir’s Ganderbal district, on Sunday morning.

Officials said that the injured Shepherd has been identified as 40year old Nazir Ahmad Gojar son of Abdul Rashid Gojar a Resident of Hayan Palpora in Kangan area was attacked by a wild bear on Sunday morning when he was grazing cattle in the nearby forests.

They said he was rescued by locals and immediately shifted to sub district hospital Kangan where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.

Kangan police took cognizance of the case.
