Ganderbal, 24 Aug【KNZ】: A joint team of officials in various Departments thursday conducted a market checking in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District

On the directions of Tehsildar Ganderbal Miss Rabiya yousuf,market checking was intensified under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Mohd Ismaiel Wani at
main market Ganderbal

During the drive a penal sum of Rs 8600 was recovered as a fine from  shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act 1955, besides huge quantity of rotten vegetables and other food items were destroyed on spot and has seized 5.6 kgs of polythene bags from shopkeepers

It was said that, such market checking drive would be held continuously to curb the black-marketing, profiteering and hoarding.official said,

The shopkeepers were asked to strictly adhere to government rate list and appealed to the people not to pay more than government approved rates.
