Protest Against The Liquor Shop Open In Srinagar Airport.

Srinagar:- The Indian government has decided to set up a liquor shop at the Srinagar International Airport in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir apparently to woo tourists to this militancy-infested region. The Airports Authority of India had invited e-tenders in September – seeking bids from the potential players to run a duty-paid liquor shop at the airport – with the lowest bid of Rs 200,000 per month.

 

Official sources said around 50 firms have shown interest to run the oulet at the airport that caters to some 20 flights or 3500 passengers a day. The outlet is scheduled to start operations from January 1, 2018. Director Srinagar airport Sharad Kumar, while confirming the development told few days ago : “All the famous and good quality liquor brands will be available for sales.”

 

 

In that regar a protest held here in  press enclave srinagar , the protesters clearly massege to the state govt if it will not stopped a mass agitation like 2016 will arise here , protesters said we respect the name Sheikul alam(RA) under his name we will not bear to run a liquor shop under his name ,Sheikul Alam is a pride wali( saint) for Kashmir.
