Regulates Traffic, Gives Relief To commuters

Srinagar, Nov 04: Due to the inclement weather and following snowfall across the valley, the Jammu and Kashmir Police today pressed its personnel into service to clear the roads thereby ensuring smooth flow of traffic and no inconvenience to the commuters.

According to a police spokesman, in Srinagar, policemen of police station Nishat under the supervision of SHO police station Nishat cleared and removed fallen trees uprooted by the snowfall on the roads.

Police put extra work force on job to remove the trees that had blocked the road in order to ensure and regulate the traffic and to clear the stranded vehicles on the road, besides, providing relief to the stranded drivers and passengers, the spokesman said.

The police personnel later visited several areas in its jurisdiction  to take the stock of the situation arising out of the snowfall.
