SRINAGAR:Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday registered a case against a netizen for spreading hatred and using abusive language against Kashmiri women on social media.

Confirming to Greater Kashmir, the state police chief Shesh Paul Vaid said a case has been lodged against the accused, while his Twitter account has also been blocked.

“We have registered an FIR against the person who has spewed venom against Kashmiri women and abused people of Kashmir. We are in touch with Delhi police. We will arrest the person and block his Twitter account,” Director General of Police, J&K, Shesh Paul Vaid told Greater Kashmir.

Ashish Kaul, who as per his Twitter profile works for a US-based company Development Dimensions International Inc., had used provocative and uncivilized language against Kashmiri women.

“Kill the *** economically and let them sell their daughters, wives in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to feed themselves!” Kaul has written on the microblogging website.

In another tweet, Kaul had said: “I love when Kashmiri Muslim women cry on roads- Ye Masooom tha , begunah tha! Amarnath Cha thus Ya Zadadi- the proof is in the causality chart of last 1 year, sorry 8 years, We are killing , maiming and raping you at will! Ha Haa, Cry aloud Azaadi”
