AEE PDD Ganderbal sub-division turns deaf ear to plea of Local resident

KASHMIR NEWS ZONE CORRESPONDENT

Ganderbal, Jan 31 (KNZ): Residents of Patpora Beehama alleged that low-tension electricity line, located in proximity to their houses, poses a serious threat to lives and property here.

They said we have approached PDD many times asking them to align the lines properly but our pleas continue to fall on deaf ears.

Recently a house caught fire because of a transmission line coming in touch with its roof. It was due to the timely action of local residents here which averted a major tragedy from happening,” they added.

The person whose house had caught fire told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that transmission line is located just a few inches away from his house. “The officials of PDD are acting careless as they never bothered to keep the transmission line away from my house. Few days ago, I visited AEE PDD office and pleaded him to align the electricity line but nothing has happened so far,” he said.

When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ contacted In-charge Executive Engineer PDD Ganderbal, Nisar Ahmad, said: “This issue has not come into my notice. I will look into the matter.”KNZ
