Ganderbal 18 July (KNZ): Poor drainage is giving tough time to the residents at Dal Colony area of Nunner in Ganderbal District due to the failure of Roads and Buildings department and irrigation here.

According to the inhabitants, the drainage passing along side National Highway was blocked few dyas ago and it was restored by the locals.

“The drain is damaged and not worth to be used. The regular blockage causes immense inconveniences to the people here,” Abdul Majeed baba, a resident told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ

The residents appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and R&B department to construct a new drainage alongside the road to avoid waterlogging.

The main reason behind this dilapidated condition of the National Highway is due to due to failure of the drainage system, they said.

The angry residents appealed Roads and Buildings department and irrigation to visit the area and solve the problem so that they have a sigh of relief.KNZ
