Bandipora 19 March: Bandipora police continuing its drive against the menace of drugs arrested a drug peddler Farooq Ahmad Bhat and recovered 20 kilograms of Cannabis straw from his possession during a surprise Naka,laid by police party of PS Sumbal led by SDPO Sumbal and SHO PS Sumbal at Wasikhan Markundal Sumbal.
Case FIR No.45/2020 under relevant sections of NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Sumbal and further investigation of the case is going on.
General Public is requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.
