GANDERBAL 27 AUG【KNZ】:Mela cum talent hunt was organised by Indian Army RR Battalion (BIHAR) on 26 Aug 2017 at Kangan In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District

In its efforts to connect with and simulate the young minds of future generation, the Kangan based Army camp also organised a Drawing Competition for students of various schools. The painting competition was conducted with the theme of ‘Progressive Kashmir’ and it provided an excellent opportunity to students to apply their imagination and show their creative side.

The participating children played their part and came up with beautiful pieces of art, thus drawing their vision of a modern and well developed state. The Competition ended with prize distribution for the winners, with consolation prizes for all participants. The children were overjoyed to participate in such a creative event.

 

The mela cum talent hunt was also attended patients including men women and children, who were provided with comprehensive medical services including overture investigation and medicines for commonly occurring ailments.

Locals have lauded the efforts of Kangan Army for maintaining peace and tranquility in the region and said the such acts of benevolence.This will create an atmosphere of harmony, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence of various sections, caste and religion.

 

In the occasion more than nine hundrend (900) locals including personalities like J&K Police, local administration, Sarpanch, Panch, Students, teachers apart from poor needy people attended.

The event further redefined the fine rapport that exists between the Army and the locals.KNZ
