The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday disbursed cash assistance of Rupees One lac each in respect of Mohammad Shafi Geela and Bashir Ahmad Kohli of Lambard resident of  Banihal and Saifud Din Ganaie of Nagam resident of Banihal for construction of shelter houses.
The spokesman said three had met the Chief Minister during her public outreach programme at Ramban on October 14 and requested for financial assistance to build their houses.
Meanwhile, a deputation of a large number of contractual employees met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday.
The spokesman said deputation expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for fulfilling the promise of looking into their difficulties and redressing them at such a fast pace.
The Chief Minister assured the deputation that her Government, since the beginning, has been seized of the problems of the contractual employees. And since then, efforts are on to extend benefits to them as are available to other employees to restore their confidence in the system, she told the deputation.
Mehbooba Mufti appealed them to work with renewed real and dedication and deliver their services for the betterment of the State.
