Ganderbal 14 May【KNZ】 : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Dr Piyush Singla ,market checking was intensified under the supervision of Naib-Tehsildar, FCS & CA Dept. And also Food Safety Officer kangan conducted checking of main market’s Kangan In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District

During the drive a penal sum of Rs 1700 was recovered as a fine from  shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities & Food Safety Act 2006, besides huge quantity of rotten vegetables,fruits and other food items were destroyed.Also huge quantity of polythene recovered on spot

Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal directed the concerned officers to intensify the market checking to ensure quality products are made available to the consumers

The team also asked the shopkeepers to put on display the approved rate lists of their items.

Moreover Food Business Operators were directed to display Rate lists, Licences & provide Quality Food Stuffs to the masses during the upcoming holy Month of Ramzan.
