Anantnag, April 14【KNZ】:Life returned to normal in the Kashmir valley on Saturday after remaining paralysed for three days due to strike, called by separatists against Civilian Killings during clashes in anti militant operation at Khudwani gunfight in Kulgam district on Wednesday in which four civilians killed and at least 60 people were injured.

Authorities have also lifted restrictions in downtown area of old city Srinagar on Friday the restrictions were imposed in view of Friday after prayers protest however authorities barred Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid Srinagar on Friday to prevent any law and order problem.

Shops and business establishments, which are functioning on Saturday, reopened in Srinagar and all other major towns and tehsil headquarters today and traffic plying on all routes.

Meanwhile partial shutdown has been observed in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on its fourth consecutive day on Saturday against the Civilian killings. While public transport were thin on the roads.

Banks, post offices, government offices, most of educational institutions was remained closed in Entire state in wake of Shab-e Mehraj holiday on Saturday.

Hundreds of vendors have also set up their stalls with heavy rush of shoppers in markets leading to traffic congestion in the commercial hub of Lal Chowk in the capital city and other major towns of Kashmir valley except South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Life was reported to be normal in central Kashmir districts of Ganderbal and Badgam, where business and other activities resumed this morning.

High Speed Internet service restored in some parts of Valley.

Train service has also resumed as per schedule today after remaining suspended for three days due to law and order situations in the valley.KNZ
