Anantnag, Feb 5: Threatening self-immolation, mother of alleged Kulgam Sex scandal victim on Monday requested Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene and ensure fair investigation into the case.

“She is herself a mother. I request her to support us and ensure the fair investigation,” victim’s mother said on Monday.

She said that truth would prevail only if police would bring out telephone call details of the accused lady.
“I will kill my three daughters and end my life if the case is hushed up,” she added.

The victim requested police to access the call details of the PDP legislator and the accused lady.

“I am telling lie, let it be, but if you want to know the truth access their call details. Everything will come to fore,” the victim told reporters.

She said that there were other girls as well who were pushed into the flesh trade by the accused lady. “I was even supplied to Pahalgam. I don’t know the name of hotel but can recognize it,” she revealed.

However victim thanked Kulgam police for cooperating with her family. “My life has been ruined but I don’t want to see other girls suffering like
Kulgam Sex Scandal me,” she said.

Meanwhile, reliable sources told Early Times that Kulgam police are unlikely to raid the hotel named by the victim yesterday in a video that has now gone viral and apparently have no plans to investigate it further as police in a statement on Sunday maintained that it was a ‘kidnapping case’.

“If probed fairly and thoroughly it will expose many people involved in the flesh trade as the victim has given many important clues,” a police official pleading anonymity said.

Important to mention that the victim has already alleged politico-police nexus and claimed that many influential people were involved in the trade. The victim has even shown willingness to identify a person who she identified was a police officer.

Kulgam Police on Sunday said that it has constituted a Special Investigative Team (SIT) to probe the case. “Case FIR No 27/2018, U/S 363,120B, RPC has been registered in police station Kulgam and investigation has been taken up. A special investigation team (SIT) has been formulated by SSP Kulgam under the supervision DySP Hqrs Kulgam to investigate the case swiftly and professionally,” police said in a statement.
