Srinagar, March 12: Overnight rains & snow over parts of J&K caused water logging in many areas as predicted by Kashmir_Weather earlier.
There were reports of snowfall over higher reaches including JawaharTunnel & Gulmarg.

Weather activities started to pick up during night & attained its peak during early morning hours which led to water logging in some parts of Kashmir & Jammu.
Srinagar recorded 5.7 mm of rains till 7:30 a.m., said Kashmir_Weather.
He said, Pahalgam, Kokernag & Qazigund in South Kashmir recorded rains of 3.4mm, 8.1mm & 16.6mm respectively.

Kupwara in North Kashmir recorded overnight rains equivalent to 5.4mm, said he.

Gulmarg recorded snow equivalent to 7.6mm & a minimum temperature of -2.2 degrees Celsius.

He also said, Jammu, Banihal, Bhaderwah, Katra & Batote recorded 25.9mm , 41.2mm, 28.6mm, 32.6mm & 40mm rains respectively.

Meanwhile, Kashmir_Weather has predicted of another spell of high intensity which will start from tonight and will last till tomorrow morning.
There are chances of light snowfall over some plains too. Weather is likely to improve from tomorrow afternoon onwards. However, few places may see light rain activity till 14th March.
