On the 3rd of October Kashmir News ZONE-KNZ has carried a story on the issue of poor mobile network in a remote village of Uttersoo area of Shangus Ananatnag district of South Kashmir

As a group of subscribers while talking to Kashmir News Zone-KNZ on 3rd October said that they borrowed the Airtel connection from the places of their work or education as they were not aware about the poor service of the network provider in the villages, maintaining that they would haven’t otherwise subscripted to the network.

They also complained that they face tough time once they are home and said that “the tower in the village will also cover the surrounding areas which also lack Airtel towers”.

“See, Airtel got its fame because of the internet bonus it provides to the customers and I also subscribed to it for the same reason but, in my village, every Airtel user feels bad because of its poor network and for me, being a student, it is very costly to maintain two SIM cards as I cannot pay hefty amounts to maintain the two,” said one of the students from Uttersoo studying in Srinagar.

He further said that during his stay at Srinagar, he was hugely benefitted from Aitel but faces severe problems once he reaches his native village missing important online updates from his college. “Once I enter my village the internet stops working giving a feeling of the Dark Age, without any connectivity to the outer world,” he added.

Meanwhile, Airtel Incharge of the area Anees Khurshid had earlier told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ “that the network problems will be solved soon and it was restored within a day.(KNZ)
