Jammu Feb 21 ::A KAS officer has registered a complaint with chief secretary against principal secretary higher education, Asgar Samoon, for allegedly using abusive language against him during a telephonic conversation.

The officer, Muhammad Shafique Chuk, is presently posted as mission director Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) run by higher education department.

“I approached chief secretary to register my verbal complaint against Asgar Samoon for using abusive language with me. I asked Vyas sahib that I will not work with such an officer who is habitual of using abusive language with officers,” he said.

He said that all college principals and vice-chancellors of universities are aware that Asgar Samoon uses abusive language in meetings.

“He has become habitual of abusing officers and his subordinates. Today he called me and asked for some general information. In the meantime he used abusive language,” Shafique said.

Shafique said he has also registered his protest with KAS officers association. “I have asked them to take up the matter with higher ups. This behavior is unacceptable.”

Earlier, Samoon had reportedly rebuked higher secondary school principals in an awareness workshop in Srinagar last December. Principal secretary Asgar Samoon didn’t respond to repeated calls from this newspaper.
