Ganderbal 17 Oct【KNZ】:The popular “Kangan Football League” organised by Indian Army 24 RR Wussan camp culminated in a befitting final on 17 oct at the Sheikh-ul-Alam Stadium Kangan. The month long tournament contested by 16 teams of the area on a league cum knockout basis, was played with immense enthusiasm and sportsman spirit and saw some very exciting and keenly contested matches.

In a very worthy final played between the two best teams of the tournament, the players of FC Kangan and FC Gund displayed some excellent sporting skills in the presence of a large cheering crowd.

 

KFC beat GFC to lift the league trophy, the trophy for the ‘Champions’ and football gear for the ‘Runners Up’ were also awarded.

First of its kind, the league witnessed participation of 16 teams hailing from Ganderbal district. The league supported by 24 RR Wussan was inaugurated on September 17

The dignitaries on both the occasions of opening and closing of the event, appreciated the efforts of 24 RR and assured full support and assistance to uplift
