ANANTNAG: Jammu and Kashmir Journalists Union, unit Anantnag, today held its members meet at Faizan Complex Khanabal Anantnag. Meeting was headed by district coordinator Anantnag Mr. Shahid Habib. Coordinator started meeting with the introduction of JKJU and its aims and objectives.

JKJU is a trade union of Journalists from J&K and a unit of National Union for Journalists of India (NUJ India), member of International Federation of Journalists ( IFJ).

Members discussed broad range of issues faced by Journalists and condition of Journalists all over the world and the ways to resolve problems faced by Journalists especially in Kashmir.

In the meeting some new members also joined Union.”We are soon going to have a Introduction and interaction session with deputy commissioner of Anantnag and  will put forward our demands especially allotment of Press Club to Anantnag”Said Coordinator Shahid Habib.

Towards the end of meeting Coordinator announced that JKJU Anantnag unit will open its office in Anantnag in near future.

All the members assured that they will support the union in every situation.
