Ganderbal, Feb 01 (KNZ): Jamkash Vehicleades Ganderbal on Friday launched Maruti Suzuki’s 3rd generation Big New WagonR at its Ganderbal outlet here.

Mr Farhat Abbas, J&K Bank’s Cluster Head Ganderbal unveiled the car in presence of Mr Khurshid Javid Khan, General Manager Jamkash Vehicleades Ganderbal, Sajad Ahmad Dalal, Sales Head Jamkash Vehicleades Ganderbal, representatives of Mahindra & Mahindra Finance and Cholamandalum Finance, and various other banks.

Talking to media persons, Jamkash Group Internal Trainer, Mr Irfan Bhat said, “The theme of Big New WagonR is ‘Big Dil Se’ which means bigger in terms of dimensions which provides extra space.”

The new 2019 Wagon R comes primarily in three variants – LXI, VXI and ZXI, offered in seven iterations based on the engine and transmission option.

Revealing details, Mr Irfan said the third-generation WagonR has come a long way from the previous-gen model.

“Firstly, the car is based on the company versatile Heartect platform, which the company claims has enabled it to make to car bigger, stronger, and roomier. The car is now wider by 145 mm and offers 35 mm longer wheelbase,” he said.

He said another big change in the 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is that the car comes with the more powerful 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that is tuned to offer 83 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque.

“In addition to that, the car also gets the existing 1.0-litre petrol engine that makes 67 bhp and 90 Nm of peak torque. Both the motors come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) or, as Maruti calls it Auto Gear Shift (AGS),” Mr Irfan said.
