Calls it as ‘act of deceit’

Srinagar, Mar 02: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Friday said criticized the ‘act of deceit’ of collecting funds in the disguise of freedom fighters by Indian agencies and their local payees in the areas including Baramulla and Kundi.

In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, the LeT spokesman, Dr Abdullah Ghaznawi quoted the outfit chief, Mahmood Shah said, “Not only that the locals are being threatened but are being forced to go through severe difficulties. Such acts are nothing but intended to disrupt the trust between the freedom fighters and public. The nation who goes through all pain and suffering but never gives up on the dead bodies of freedom fighters will never fall for such ill-fated conspiracies.”

Shah said that “it has been a week since the Indian forces and police are committing severe atrocities on the people of Hajin. The human rights are being severely violated. The property damaged, innocents are being beaten up. The human rights organizations must take duly notice of the severe war crimes committed by India before any more serious mishap happens.”
He requested the Hurriyat leaders to visit the affected areas and take the appropriate measures in solving the plight of the affectees. “Unification and harmony are need of the hour,” he said.

Shah warned Indian agencies, their local agents and payees to “preclude such vicious activities, otherwise they will have to pay a formidable price.”
