September 30 : Inspector General Border Security Force met family members of slain Muhammad Ramzan Parray at Army Goodwill School in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Ramzan an off duty BSF jawan was killed recently by suspected militants at his home in Parray Mohalla. He was posted outside state and was on vacation.

Sunali Mishra, IG BSF Kashmir was scheduled to visit his house however, according to sources, due to security reasons the meeting was held at Army Goodwill School.

“Ramzan was a brave heart solider who laid his life to fight against the enemy,” Mishra said.

Mishra also said that they have taken up the issue with higher ups that Ramzan must be awarded posthumously.

“We will take care of Ramzans family,” she said and added that his ‘mission’ will be taken forward.

Besides SSP Bandipora, several other police officers were present on the occassion.
