Ganderbal, June 09【KNZ】: As a goodwill gesture, in a bid to strengthen the Hindu-Muslim communal brotherhood in the area, 24RR Gutlibagh Army Camp organized an Iftar Party for the Muslims brothers in Gutlibagh Village and adjacent areas of district Ganderbal.

One of the member of the area said that part was arranged as mark of respect for the holy month of Ramzan and was attended by as many as 200 members from both communities, including some dignitaries like ex-Sarpanch,Panch,Molvi etc.

Speaking on the occasion, that the event was organized for maintaining brotherhood and peace in the area.

“The tradition has strengthened the bond of love between two communities in past and we will be maintaining this in years to come as well,” he added.

The gathering also prayed for restoration of peace in Kashmir. Muslims appreciated the efforts made by their hosts and praised the camp for its considerate thinking.

Sarpanch of the area, said that Hindus and Muslims of this area always share pleasure and grief with each other.

“This gesture from the camp has won our hearts and we are thankful that they made great arrangements for our iftar,” he said.KNZ
