Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Thursday paid rich tributes to scholar turned militant commander Manan Wani and his associate Ashiq Hussain Zargar who were killed in a gunfight at Shatgund Handwara.

Hizb Operational Spokesperson Burhanuddin told news agency CNS that the death of highly qualified youth Manan Wani is very painful and the outfit chief Syed Salahuddin has reiterated that every drop of Manan’s blood will produce thousands of freedom loving militants.

The Operational Spokesperson quoted Hizb Chief as having said that people across Kashmir protested and expressed resentment over the killing of Manan Wani. “It shows how people of Kashmir are deeply attached to ongoing freedom struggle.”

Hizb Deputy Chief Saifullah Khalid and Operational Field Commander Muhammad Bin Qasim according to spokesperson expressed grief over the death of Manan Wani and said that struggle will continue till objective is attained.
