Class work suspended tomorrow in Degree College Ganderbal

Ganderbal 28 May (KNZ): Clashes erupted between students of Central University of Kashmir, Ganderbal campus and Government Degree Collage Ganderbal students with government forces on Tuesday over the killing of Ansar Gazwatul Hind (AGH) Cheif Zakir Musa.

Reports said that students of both the institutions boycotted their class on Tuesday afternoon and staged protests and raising slogans pro militant and anti India slogans.

They said that amid pro-freedom and anti-India sloganeering the students come out of the college gate and later they were joined by Students of Qamira Modal School Ganderbal and blocked Ganderbal-Shalbugh road outside the degree college.

However, the deployed forces foiled the blockage, triggering clashes in the area.

Protesting students threw stones on the government forces and Government forces fired teargas shells to disperse the protesting students.

However at least three students were detained by police during clashes.

Meanwhile The district administration Ganderbal has ordered the suspension of class work in government degree college Ganderbal on 29 May, Wednesday , as a precautionary measure.

Order reads :In view of the prevalling situation the class work in Govt Degree College Ganderbal, shall remain suspended on 29″ May, 2019.KNZ
