Srinagar, October 12 [KNZ]: APHC chairman Syed Ali Geelani today paid rich tributes to militants who were slain in Hajan gunfight, saying, ’that the youth are sacrificing their precious lives for a greater cause to serve nation and we are dutybound to carry their mission to its logical conclusion.

Since past three decades, our nation while nourishing freedom movement and demanding their right to self-determination, has presented huge sacrifices, however New Delhi with its military might, brutally killed thousands and is carrying assault on women’s modesty and dignity in state.

Blaming India’s haughty and stubborn approach for continuous bloodshed in state, Geelani said that we are a peaceful nation and added that frequent incidents of encounters resulting into the martyrdom of youth, is a matter of serious concern for us.

Referring to Indian authorities, Geelani said India has declared a war against innocent people, while as international community instead of taking any serious of note this, is acting as mute spectator.

Reiterating his stand, Geelani said that no sane person can ever like and favour loss of human lives, however in a state of its arrogance India, neither takes into consideration the interests of its people nor they have any sympathy with people of state. This situation is painful both for people in India and Jammu and Kashmir, said Geelani.

Geelani asked authorities to shun its stale thinking and urged to demonstrate mature and sensible approach for the resolution of conflict.

Meanwhile on the directions of Syed Ali Geelani senior Huriyat leader Bashir Ahmad Qureshi visited slain commander’s home in Hajan and extended condolences on behalf of Syed Ali Geelani. While paying rich tributes to slain youth Nasrallah, Qureshi said that we will continue our struggle and pursue their mission till its logical end
