Ganderbal 16 Jan (KNZ):Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday said a Ganderbal youth, who had reportedly left home to join the militant ranks, has returned home safely and is with his family.

Mohd Ashraf Sofi son of Late Gh Mohd resident of Nunner Ganderbal had gone missing on 15 January 2019 and a missing report was lodged at Police Station Ganderbal

Enquiry into the Mysterious Missing of said person revealed that his father had purchased land from a migrant family about 10 years ago but no possession was given to them till date.

His family fought case in revenue courts and also got latest directions for getting possession from FC Revenue.

Meanwhile his father four days ago died of heart attack who was a CA patient. Due to prolonged delay in settlement of land dispute and increased sufferings of his family, the boy left home to join militancy so as take revenge from revenue authorities especially Tehsildar Ganderbal causing unnecessary in disposal of revenue matter.

Police parties alongwith the families members of missing person were sent to different locations.

His latest location traced near SICOP complex at Bhijbeherra and accordingly Police party rushed there and convinced him to return home as the land dispute shall be got settled through Revenue authorities at an earliest.

Said person brought back to Ganderbal and handed over to his family. Besides ADC, Ganderbal requested to look into the revenue matter of above said family.
