Ganderbal 02 August【KNZ】:Due to heavy rain flood hit the Baba Cannal of  Yarmuqam village in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District results in blockage of a pipes of the Nallah and water begin to flow over the road results in damage to road and water enters into some residential houses with this residential houses were partially damaged.
Flood hits PMGSY road of yarmuqam and damaged HT line with power supply remain suspended said residents.
The conectivity between the upper area and lower areas of village remain cut off and locals have now put two logs on the nallah to cross ,we are facing lot of  problems said residents.
local residents especially the youth started rescue oprations to divert the water  of nallah to avoid the damage to near by houses.residents have requested district admistration to construct a culvert as early as possible so that people dont feel inconvenience residents added.
However due to contineous rain water level was  increasing  and locals use sand bags stones and wooden logs to divert the water later JCB was pressed to cut the road and make a way to flood to flow into nearby nallah.
Police and revenue officials have reached the spot to provide helping hand to locals .said eyewitness.【KNZ】
