Srinagar, Jan 20 :- Fresh overnight landslides disrupted traffic on the national highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country on Saturday morning while there is no possibility of reopening of Srinagar-Leh, historic Mughal road and Badipora-Gurez road before April due to accumulation of snow and slippery road conditions.

There were fresh landslides at Magarkote, Ramsu, on Srinagar-Jammu national highway due to which traffic from both sides was suspended, a traffic police official said.

However, he said, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), responsible for the maintenance of the highway, put into service sophisticated machines and men and cleared the road. He said initially, only one-way traffic was allowed in the area where landslides had occurred.
