Police officer, SPO injured in Zakoora firing
Srinagar, November 17: Two cops including a sub-inspector (SI) and Special Police Officer (SPO) were injured after militants opened fire on a police party in Zakura area of Srinagar.
Official sources told news agency GNS that acting upon a specific input, police cordoned off Zakura and launched searches. As the searches were on near suspected spot, hiding militants opened fire, resulting in injuries to two cops including one sub-inspector, who is stated to be in critical condition.
A militant has been reportedly arrested by cops at the firing spot. More details awaited.
