Five injured as clashes erupt in Srinagar’s Nowhatta area post Friday prayers

Srinagar: Massive clashes broke out between youth and security forces outside historic Jamia Masjid in old city area of Nowhatta post Friday prayers.

According to reports around five youth have sustained pelltet injuries during the clashes with forces.

Eyewitness alleged that security forces fired pellets at the protesting people near one of the entry gates of grand Masjid , triggering chaos around the area.(KNO)
