Fire broke out in the Municipal building in southern Kashmir’s Shopian district late Monday evening.

Reports said that the fire broke out around 8 pm in the main builidng housing the municipal committee offices.

Fire tenders have reached the spot to douse the flames
They said that main gates to the building were locked and the fire fighters had to jump over the walls of the compound to douse the flames.

The town hall of the district is besides the building.
