Dooru , Feb 07【KNZ】: Prominent Socio-Political activist and In- charge Doru Constituency Adv Farooq Ahmad Ganai today demanded the rehabilitation of Shopkeepers and Venders of Tollpost Lower Munda in Dooru Anantnag.
Shopkeepers of Toolpost Lower Munda today morning staged a protest against the government move to close Toolpost at Lower Munda and demanded rehabilitation.
Advocate Ganie who was addressing protesters said poor shopkeepers and Venders from Hiller Shahabad, Ujroo Pranigam, Mataygund and other adjacent villages are living a life of daily rated labours and earn their livelihood and have no other source of income.
Adv Ganie added that if Government will not listen the demands of these shopkeepers they will be forced to come on roads along with their families. He extended his full support to the protesting shopkeepers and Venders for their rehabilitation.
Ganie said more than 200 shopkeepers and 300 vendors are hit by governments recent decision who are completely dependent on their present activity i.e shops and vending at Lower Munda Toll Post and have been deprived of their right to earn livelihood by shunting down the Toll Post at Lower Munda.
He further said that Tollpost was established during the NC government and people of the area were benefited at large, but present PDP-BJP government by withdrawing the same has rendered thousands of people jobless.KNZ
